Indie Act Finishing Up Dates Amid WWE Interest

A familiar act could very well be headed to WWE.

Sources familiar with the situation claim to Fightul that Vinny and Dutch, known collectively as The Righteous, have informed some promoters that they are finishing up their indie dates in the coming months. Word out of WWE is that the company has been interested in them, and many believe they are likely to be signed.

This wouldn’t be the first time WWE has had interest. In December 2022, The Righteous, KC Navarro and Kylie Rae participated in an indie wrestler-only tryout. However, that was around the point where Vince McMahon bulrushes back into the company and forced an acquisition, so all hires were frozen. This affected WWE’s interest in talent across the board, and no new wrestlers were brought in for months.

The Righteous would eventually sign with AEW/ROH before procuring their release this year. However, we’re told that there have been a number of talent pushing for the duo. Among them included Elijah, fka Elias, who filmed vignettes with them. Another huge proponent of The Righteous was the late Bray Wyatt, who wanted to work with them, and pushed for them to get hired after their tryout.
