SCOOPS THREAD Ahead of Clash In Paris: Stage, VPNGate, Lesnar, Layoffs, AEW notes

• The Clash in Paris stage has a number of big screens, as well as the Eiffel Tower on it.

• At least one source we spoke to at ESPN "wasn't thrilled" by the VPN ad read on Stephanie McMahon's podcast. They didn't think it was going to be a major issue.

• Brock Lesnar was in Medicine Hat this past week watching his son play hockey. He's still expected for WWE WrestlePalooza in Indianapolis

• Big E is on the scene to work the pre show.

• We’re told there were about a half dozen layoffs in WWE across social media and production. They were told it was a part of restructuring.

• Aigle Blanc competed in his final match for APC at The Last Dance event earlier today, with Mike D Vecchio sharing on social media that he trained with Logan Paul ahead of today's show. Both talent are set to join WWE next month.

• Several indie wrestlers are on the scene to work as extras

• The MyBookie betting odds have Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch and John Cena all as heavy favorites, with Rusev being a bit closer as a favorite. Those are also our Fightful Select picks to win. We consider Seth Rollins a lock.

• A number of talent that aren't needed for Clash in Paris and WWE Raw are already headed home.

• WWE is touting a sellout of over 31,000 internally.

• Shane Helms has a hand in producing Logan Paul vs. John Cena.

• Helms and Jason Jordan are among the producers on scene.

• As if there was any doubt, Roman Reigns was written off to film Street Fighter. Cody Rhodes has already been on set. Reigns is set to start filming this week, and will be in Australia until the last week of September.

• Ricky Sosa, Kuro and Nate Prince are extras being used for Clash in Paris.

• The move Becky Lynch used (the Lynch Pin) is in fact a new signature for her.

• WWE is planning another European tour in early January.

• WWE did have security around a number of talent today after several fan incidents.

• Despite the ban of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, there are additional people involved in the main event.

• The Enzo Amore “attack” at 4th Rope was a work, and just a part of the show with a social media personality.

• Fightful has an interview with Hobbs releasing this week.

• AEW filed trademarks nearly a year ago for "The Clone" and "El Clon" that are tied to Hologram. There have been plans for over a year to do an angle of this sort.
