some updates in my life!!

if you know about the entertainment industry, the SAG strikes changed everything. it has been so dry this year. there are less jobs than before. production studios are cancelling projects and not investing in creating new shows. there was no pilot season at all this year, which is what every actor/writer prays for every year to happen. that being said, it is a very difficult time for everyone in the industry. I feel so incredibly thankful to have work outside of relying on the entertainment industry. my new streaming job and working for react has given me a sense of peace which allows me to continue utilizing my creative skills professionally. even though jobs are scarce, I'm auditioning as much as I can. it's been a while since I had an audition, but this week I taped for a series regular role on a CBS show and immediately got a response from my manager telling me how strong my work is. whether I get the part or not, I have faith that I am doing great work regardless and one day, everything will align.

even tho there hasn't been many opportunities to showcase my acting work professionally, I've still been working on my craft through training, classes, and up-leveling my skills. I started fire spinning and dancing which has led me to getting invited to go to Burning Man :) the people who I am learning these new skills from have asked me to go with them to their burning man performance and see what its like !! this is such a rare, amazing opportunity that I am so incredibly blessed to attend!!! truly such a dream come true and one day, I would love to be as confident and trained enough to perform fire professionally :) if you haven't seen my fire content, I've been posting about my journey for about a year now!!
