Willow Nightingale on when she signed with AEW,

Grapsody interviewed Willow Nightingale, which is released publicly on Friday, and is up for tier 2 Select members now

- 2022 has been the most eventful year. Felt on the verge of signing with AEW earlier in the year. Still wants to be able to do Indies even though she’s signed with AEW.

- Prides herself on connecting to non-wrestling fans and staying true to herself.

- Credits her support system specifically boyfriend Rex Lawless for not getting too down when she would lose quickly on AEW Dark or wasn’t getting more opportunities.

- Says her experience in Japan was surreal. Everyone at TJPW was kind and took care of her. Said the wrestling was “easy” because she was able to toss the girls around as she works a stronger style and they are smaller.

- Was excited to work with Trish Adora and wanted to showcase her and make her look good.

- Felt bad she was being cheered in Boston after Red Velvet, which started Velvet’s heel turn. Says it can be scary being the person that you want to get behind because what if the crowd doesn’t? Thanks everyone for cheering her.

- Would love to be the first woman in AEW to win AEW Women’s, TBS, and ROH Women’s titles. Say it’s a little discouraging having lost all of her title opportunities and the recurring them has been “fall down, get back up.” Doesn’t want to get married to one idea because that could lead to more heartbreak.

- Thinks a heel Willow would be like Sami Zayn, a mischievous and goofy person. Thinks there could be a kick ass heel like Awesome Kong, Aja Kong, Bull Nakano. “It’s another side we could see in the future.” Says it’s not her natural demeanor.

- Mikey Ruckus didn’t do AEW theme. Got sent 15 songs when she competed for ROH and asked for her favorite. Rex helped her pick the one that fit best. AEW just played her old ROH theme and Ruckus doesn’t want to touch it because it fits.

- Signed AEW contract the morning of AEW Rampage when it was announced she was All Elite. Had a per-appearance deal, but it didn’t feel the same.

- Still enjoys working on the Indies and the camaraderie of the locker room. Says there is comfort on the Indies that she can’t get with TV because it’s familiar and where she started.

- Praises Dustin Rhodes and Madison Rayne as trainers. Works with BJ Whitmer a lot and Orange Cassidy will give her one word advice. William Regal would give her advice after matches. Jim Ross gives advice from a different perspective as an announcer.

- Wants to wrestle Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Sasha Banks, Bayley. Wants to be consistent, dependable, and help others on the roster.

- Wants to be looked at as a symbol of hope.

- Would like to work a Tokyo Dome show and with STARDOM.

- Says there is unfinished business in ROH. Was happy she worked in ROH when she did and praised Maria for her vision. ROH is where she gained confidence in knowing she was a TV performer. Would love to see Max The Impaler in the new ROH.
