Added 2022-12-11 04:05:11 +0000 UTCThe Wrestling Perspective Podcast is now part of Fightful! Each week, The Wrestling Perspective is hosted by Lars Frederiksen of the Punk Rock Band "Rancid" and Dennis Farrell.
The second episode will be available on Youtube, and your favorite Podcast platform, on Sunday, December 11th at 12:00pm EST. The guest this week was former TNA Heavyweight Champion EC3.
EC3 was asked why certain moves were banned in his promotion CYN (Control Your Narrative). He would explain they were being overused, and by banning them, they would mean more. He said if someone hit a Superkick, they would win their match.
EC3 said he got a lot of "kudos and congratulations" from peers for starting CYN. He said from a creative perspective he was satisfied with the work he got to do, and mentioned the feedback he received was "very positive."
Lars asked him about his opinions on Kayfabe and brought up MJF's name. He said he enjoyed MJF's "commitment to Kayfabe." He talked about MJF's abilities and added a tidbit that a young MJF attended a young EC3 seminar at one time.
Lars asked EC3 where he believes he should be. EC3 said he believes he should be in the spotlight, with the most pressure, and the most eyeballs on him. He mentioned that if he went back to the WWE, they have new management, and he thinks they like him more than the last guy (Vince.) What are the trade-offs and the next challenge?
He likes what Billy Corgan is doing with NWA, he says Billy knows what he wants. He does not go for positive wrestling press.
EC3 said he had a good career, but doesn't have a lasting legacy because he did not have success in the WWE. He spoke about the day he was released from the WWE. He brought up that he either needed to quit or get fired. He said the day he was fired, he was going to still release his own promo. Because he just wanted to cut a promo.
EC3 talks about vindication and believes people don't know the truth about him.
Comments
Imagine banning moves not cause of how dangerous they could be, but because it's "too popular."
