AEW Dark story largely written by talent
Added 2022-12-01 21:14:25 +0000 UTCOne of the more positively received storylines in All Elite Wrestling of late has almost completely been on AEW Dark, and created by the talent themselves.
In October, a story between The Firm and Matt Hardy started, which has also expanded to Private Party. While it's largely focused around Matt Hardy and Ethan Page, several other talent have been involved. Those that we spoke to said that Hardy and Page were excited to work together for the angle, and it was almost entirely creatively developed by them.
There was also a heated three minute backstage promo between the two that aired on Dark, that we're told they and Private Party complete in one take. The angle has received positive reviews on social media thus far, and we're told is a part of an effort to have more stories carry over onto AEW Dark.

Especially when they have talent go on winning streaks on Dark and have title matches on Dynamite or Rampage with no reasoning to the audience since they primarily appear on Dark, who the audience at large don't pay any attention towards.
