FTR contract update, have discussed non AEW/WWE plans
Added 2022-11-29 18:45:40 +0000 UTCFightful's Sean Ross Sapp spoke with Dax Harwood of AEW before his big match with Bryan Danielson.
Dax Harwood claimed to Fightful that he's under the belief his current AEW contract ends at the end of April, and they originally actually thought they'd be up last year. However, he says he's evaluating options and says that he and Cash have had a lot of conversations about their future. One particular idea they've mentioned is that they could take a year off of wrestling for major companies and just do things that are fun to them. He said that having the opportunity to work more indies and various companies have led them to find out how much they love that landscape.
He spoke about his passion for wrestling and said that sometimes it comes across in a way he doesn't intend to detractors.

But they would have actual matches. They come out as enforcers for 30 seconds to a crowd pop and then disappear for another week or two.

2022-11-29 21:40:16 +0000 UTCAt this point, maybe being fully independent for a while would be good for them? Dax often seems unhappy where he is...

2022-11-29 20:38:00 +0000 UTCI imagine TK will let the Acclaimed carry until Revolution then slap the belts back on these guys to help secure another couple of years.

2022-11-29 20:06:09 +0000 UTCI hope they keep there current contracts. But work indies more than even now. And how could you blame them?

2022-11-29 20:01:01 +0000 UTCI think going to WWE with Kenny for a few years to increase their brand awareness and going back to AEW will only help Tony’s brand

2022-11-29 19:53:03 +0000 UTCI'm sure they could work out some sort of deal with TK that will allow them to do independent dates or whatever outside the company. They're all ready kinda doing this, I don't think wwe would give them that freedom.

2022-11-29 19:41:28 +0000 UTCI disagree with that because while I do wish AEW used them more often, whenever they do show up on TV it feels like a pretty big deal. I've been excited for Dax vs Bryan since they announced it. In WWE, they would probably be on TV more but they'd be facing the same teams every week and it wouldn't take long to just feel like any other guys on the roster.

2022-11-29 19:17:24 +0000 UTCI think they will return to WWE and USO’s vs FTR would be lit 🔥

2022-11-29 19:15:27 +0000 UTCGood. Bye. Get out. Do a run with Cornette so everyone knows what you're really like. Let the Bucks cement their place as best tag team in the business

2022-11-29 19:14:46 +0000 UTCI just hope they're making bank. I think WWE would do a better job of elevating them, even if the tag division overall is a bit weaker there. But they're stars, and they deserve to be treated as such before they hang their boots up.

2022-11-29 19:09:25 +0000 UTCThey will be in WWE next year. There is a lot of mutual respect between HHH and FTR

2022-11-29 18:58:31 +0000 UTCHope they stay with AEW. They can always work indies too.

2022-11-29 18:55:40 +0000 UTCftr is my favorite tag team of all time, i’d like to see them pave a way for tag team wrestling on the indies. they can come back and win the aew titles anytime.
2022-11-29 18:51:59 +0000 UTCGiven how little they’re used in AEW, I feel like Tony should just give them a good contract, specify time frames he’ll need them, and allow them to do whatever. They’re so over right now it’s been ridiculous to lose them.
2022-11-29 18:50:39 +0000 UTCHope they don't leave AEW, but they gotta do what's best for them. Fantastic team and they deserve nothing but the best.
