Speedball Mike Bailey on Naomi Kicks, Impact Contract, More

Fightful spoke to Speeball Mike Bailey ahead of his X-Division Title defense against Frankie Kazarian at Friday's Bound For Glory.

Bailey confirmed that most of the signing process with IMPACT Wrestling was real as it had played out on social media, and he did sign his contract on Josh Alexander's back, even after a loss in a contract match. However, he said that the process of negotiating with the company was a lot more "boring" than the way they played it out for social media, and confirmed that he did have a deal in place going into the match. He had also spoken with several other companies along the way.

He said that at about age 8 or 9, he realized he could do things that most people couldn't do, and was doing huracanranas and Phoenix splashes off his dresser. When his friends would come over and try, he realized he was capable of a lot of things.

We asked him about Naomi using the Speedball kicks, which he says at this point are the Naomi kicks. He said that he is a big fan of her work, and he's very happy that she added it to her arsenal, and doesn't understand being territorial over moves.

When asked if he would ever make a jump to MMA or combat sports, he said only for a huge money fight, and said something like PewDiePie would be entertaining.
