More on Sammy Guevara/Andrade fight
Added 2022-10-06 12:49:47 +0000 UTCMuch more has emerged from the Sammy Guevara/Andrade situation, and it seems like there was good reason Sammy Guevara was still on the show.
It should be noted that varying accounts will have varying details in situations like this, but most of the accounts we've heard of thus far have indicated that Andrade was the aggressor and Guevara made attempts to not participate in the fight.
Many accounts we've heard indicate that Andrade arrived and had waited to see Sammy Guevara, and threw a couple of punches before it was broken up. Both men had been spoken to and warned about not fighting and had assured management they wouldn't be fighting. Several talent even said they had expected it to be squashed as opposed to the fight.
Wrestling Observer has also heard many of the same details. They'd also heard that Andrade was told he wouldn't be fired in the event of a fight, which we haven't confirmed ourselves.
Few of the accounts claim that Guevara also shoved Andrade, though that's how the initial information filtered in. That side was more in line with what Andrade's side of things were claiming. Since then, much more information has emerged.
Guevara was left on TV while Andrade was sent home.

Garcia watching Jericho’s protégé being held aloft is good story, but considering that Sammy probably has the most toxic mentions in all of (men’s) wrestling, I think it was naive of TK not to take him off TV for that show. People were always going to jump on him.

2022-10-06 20:42:55 +0000 UTCEveryone thinks they have the answers. Tony should have done this. Done that. You don’t know and I don’t know either lol. What I do know is that if someone wants to find you, they will. Security or not. CM Punk held on to his feelings for weeks and then brought it on air. So ok, keep them apart this week, what happens next week? What happens if Tony puts them in a room to ‘talk it out?’ Maybe cooler heads prevail or maybe two hotheads get to scraping. While THIS altercation could have been prevented, it could have built to something else later. At the least, leave your feelings and egos on the bus and appease these fans. We don’t deserve this and neither does that locker room.

2022-10-06 20:07:51 +0000 UTCAndrade just wants to get fired at this point. Bad situation for TK he signed 3 midcard guys who are drinking HHH's kool-aid. I'm sure he is only keeping them to make a statement that you can't just sign a contract and leave whenever you like. Rather than sitting him at home make these guys come back and have them job to people you are trying to build up. The roster is going to know what's up and these guys will be on an island until they realize they have to play ball. Vince did the same thing for years.

In both cases i think sammy was firmly in the right and they were firmly in the wrong. Eddie (my favorite wrestler) even admitted he was in the wrong.
