Added 2022-08-27 15:01:02 +0000 UTCFightful's Scott Edwards had a chance to interview TJPW and AEW star Maki Itoh to discuss a number of topics including her time in AEW, her relationship with Miyu Yamashita, teaming with Minoru Suzuki earlier this year in DDT, coming to America, and so much more!
Itoh detailed that coming to America allowed her to be herself and have a sense of freedom. She noted that it made her love herself more and what she does more. When discussing her teammate and relationship with Miyu Yamashita, Itoh said the reason theyโre such a great team is that they respect each other and have dreams that are going in the same direction. She also agreed that Yamashita is her greatest rival. And while talking about her time in AEW, she says the experience changed her life. She noted many people who didnโt like her appeared but many who loved her did too.
