*Spoilers* A couple of names slated for Smackdown
Added 2022-08-26 04:57:01 +0000 UTCWWE Smackdown is filming two episodes to lead in to Clash at the Castle, and a couple of familiar names are expected back.
Xavier Woods is set to return to the ring after missing all of August. Woods was knocked off television by the newly heel Viking Raiders in the middle of their feud with New Day, when Erik and Ivar kayfabe sidelined Woods with a steel chair, among other objects. As of now, Woods is planned for the double tapings in Detroit. Early creative plans had him slated to appear on Friday's episode of Smackdown.
Former WWE Champion JBL was also slated to be used in some capacity at the tapings. JBL has appeared on and off for WWE for years after retiring from in-ring action in 2009.
We'll have more details on creative surrounding Smackdown Friday morning, and will have rundowns for both shows later that evening.
