[Poll] Cèlia's story part 2

She was shy and had trouble making new acquaintances, she hardly knew anyone in the city and her husband didn’t bother to introduce her to anyone. She hated every time Ferran left her alone, of course, she was the one insisting on staying because if she had to choose between being invisible at home or having the chance of being noticed by any gentlemen and dancing for a bit she rather had that. At least she would feel a bit seen for once.
Gelabert was the one to notice her, and he invited her to dance more than once, he also introduced other Ladies to her so Cèlia wouldn’t be alone. Those small gestures meant the world to Cèlia and without realising it, she didn’t care knowing other people, she only wanted Gelabert’s attention. She looked for him at every diner and ball, waiting for him to notice her again. There was something in his demeanour that made her feel special. She didn’t take long to fall in love with him but what were his feelings towards her?
In my head, their relationship is unable to be healthy, how could it be when Gelabert organises all that kind of soirées with many other men she doesn’t know and keep their identity hidden behind a mask and do what they please with her? Of course, she enjoys every second of those evenings, she feels free, seen and desired and accepts to take part in them.
Could there be still room for love in that toxic ambient? Again, I’ll let you choose what you prefer for the story to be.
Will Gelabert also be in love with her or will she just be a game to him?

I'm also leaning into a very toxic relationship, even if there's love in between it's not going to be healthy, especially not for her. I think she will genuinely be in love with him, but his way of loving her is going to be very toxic. The poll ends in two days but I'm already working on the text that will go with the result.

2023-11-16 13:18:59 +0000 UTCYes, I see your vision, Gelabert always being there watching over her to make sure everything goes as planned, that she is enjoying herself and that everyone is behaving properly. The mask thing, as you said, is to protect their privacy but also to add a bit more to all this game for her with the idea of her assisting balls and social events knowing that there are some men there who know her pretty well, and yet, she doesn't know who they are, that builds up her fire and anticipation. I'm honestly okay with either of the options, one adds angst and drama the other softens everything a little bit. I like to hear your opinions and be able to build this story/context together makes it even funnier!

2023-11-11 15:00:16 +0000 UTCI feel like Gelabert could be a very loving man, that's WHY he sets up those soirees for her, because he watches over her, cares about her, and knows what will make her happiest. He keeps them masked to not only protect their privacy, but add to the intimacy that these other people are anonymous -- but Gelabert is always there for her? if that makes sense.
