Backstage notes
- Reggie vs. Tozawa (produced by Kenny Dykstra) and Mustafa Ali & Cedric Alexander vs. Alpha Academy (produced by Jason Jordan) were filmed for Main Event.
- The script was rewritten and handed out around 7 PM for Smackdown, Maximum Male Models was significantly scaled back and Max Dupri was a last minute write off. Also the Liv Morgan/Ronda Rousey face to face was scaled back.
- Brock Lesnar, nor Stephanie McMahon were listed on internal rundowns for Smackdown. Stephanie's segment, much like Vince McMahon's random appearances of late, were at the top of the show.
- Titus O'Neil's segment was also not listed internally
- In case you wondered, WWE is still misspelling Ludwig Kaiser's name as Ludvig internally.
- Jason Jordan produced the dark match street fight with Drew McIntyre and Sheamus after Smackdown
- Kenny Dykstra produced the Los Lotharios vs. Ricochet & Drew Gulak pre-show dark match before Smackdown.
Comments
That's what I was going to say, they just spelled it as Ludvig cause that's how it's pronounced

2022-07-31 05:12:19 +0000 UTCWhen I worked in radio, "foreign" names or words that were thought could trip us up on the air were often spelled phonetically on our run sheets or live read scripts. Perhaps that's why Ludwig's name is misspelled? Or perhaps someone is just lazy.
