CW: pregnancy, abortion
When Brian first disappeared, Sam's player and I worked the scenario of what if Joey was pregnant. Because of the lack of possibilities in the game to RP that and me naively thinking that Brian would be back soon I decided she would get rid of it, out of fear mainly. She wasn't ready or really didn't expect that, and Brian's absence didn't make the situation any easier for her, and she was wanted by the law and Sam wasn't supportive at all of the situation, plus not sure how to RP all that in-game.
So we rolled some dice and Joey got rid of it risking her own life. Believe me, she regrets it even if she is not really conscious about it. Also on a side note, I'm not against abortion at all, at first I wanted Joey to be convinced about what she was doing but it was quite obvious to me she was acting out of fear and for the lack of support and hope. But she feels empty in a way because that's the last thing from Brian she got and got rid of it...
Not long ago with another friend who I hope I'll be able to RP soon with, we were talking about traditional songs and she was: imagine Joey singing that to her child. Then I told her about the abortion and all and she was: well, nobody is going to stop you if the abortion didn't succeed or if she really didn't try it in the first place.
And I started to draw some sketches and I just loved the idea... at first, I wanted her to have a baby boy but then I decided it would be a baby girl named Alba, which means Dawn in Catalan.
I really like the idea and might try to explore it a bit more.
