Fightful Select has learned that the terms of the deal were set to be "long term," though we're not sure if pen was put to paper yet. Claudio had been training at Flatbacks in Orlando to prepare for his return.
AEW had already prepared merchandise and promotional materials for the incoming Claudio. Also, he was seen backstage throughout the night.
In addition, Fightful Select was told these weren't the original plans for his debut. We're working to learn more.

2022-06-27 21:18:23 +0000 UTCIIRC, it started in Chikara, when they were a tag team, but Claudio turned and joined a heel stable. Additionally, Claudio also refused to put Eddie over when he got signed with the Fed. Hence the beef. Some say it's Kayfabe, others say it's genuine heat.

Is it a storyline work, like it was when eddied first arrived and feuded with Mox. or do they really not like each other. I've seen a bunch of photos of them together, where they both look like shady used car salesmen, but those seem like they're good friends.
