Backstage news

- In case anyone wondered after his AEW Dark appearance, Ariya Daivari is still working on a trial basis as a WWE producer.

- Originally Alpha Academy was listed as accompanying Kevin Owens at ringside on Raw internally.

- Reggie vs. T-Bar (produced by Ariya Daivari) and Akira Tozawa vs. Shelton Benjamin (produced by Joe Hennig) were filmed for Main Event.

- Mustafa Ali was originally set to face Shelton Benjamin on Main Event, but Ali was moved to Raw Monday night.

- Aliyah vs. Shotzi (produced by Molly Holly) and Street Profits vs. Los Lotharios (produced by Jamie Noble) were the Smackdown dark matches. There was no post-show dark match

- There was no producer for the Vince McMahon segment. It wasn't listed on internal rundowns or scripts.

- Internally, the title is officially referenced as the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. They're still recognized individually.

- Several talent were speaking openly backstage about believing that Sasha Banks was released. They'd still not been told in any official capacity. However, there was talent that would be in the position to know that felt she had been released.

- Vince McMahon was said to have been in a good mood, and very hands on. Still, several talent we spoke to believed he shouldn't have done the appearance on Smackdown.

- "Business as usual" was a term reiterated to talent privately throughout the week, as well as at Smackdown.

- R-Truth had originally been pitched as being involved in the main event Raw pose down segment, and several materials were brought to Raw for him to use as comedic relief.
