I'm trying to think a bit more about this setting, what would they relation be. I think I already said in other posts, I imagine Ermengol being in love with Amèlia but in a very toxic way, she has to be his in every possible way. And Amèlia, maybe she has a crush on him but gets a bit scared with his way but at the same time she surrenders to him even if she can't admit it to herself not even to him because she is very full of pride, she is enjoying every bit of it. And that's a kind of dynamic I love in fiction.
And yeah, Ermengol is quite big, even bigger than Isaac. I think it makes it more interesting.
