More on new NXT character
Added 2022-06-04 16:57:24 +0000 UTCGiovanni Vinci is headed to NXT, but it won't be that unfamiliar to longtime viewers of the show.
As speculated, Fightful has learned that Fabian Aichner of Imperium fame is slated for the role, after being off of television for several months. Fightful reported in April that Aichner was set to be repackaged in a new character, but the nature of it was unclear. Vignettes aired highlighting the new character, down to him wearing the same watch he did in an interview with us in April. The voice in the vignettes is not that of Aichner.
Gunther and Marcel Barthel, now Ludwig Kaiser, were both brought to WWE Smackdown, where they've been given a push on the brand. Just days before the call-up the trio spoke of their hopes and plans to go to the main roster together when Fightful interviewed them.
Aicher's attributes have long been lauded within the Performance Center for years, often drawing physical comparisons to Cesaro.
