Nothing else of note happened on SmackDown, except LA Knight has a new stupid name that you have to say weird.
Oh, and Michael Cole was instructed by Vince McMahon to absolutely BURY Sasha & Naomi, live on air, and they stripped them of the Tag Titles so they could run a tournament of two-minute matches between thrown-together tag teams that don't exist yet.
Everything sucks. Let's talk about it.

How can you have a Tag Tournament when you're only tag team has been suspended indefinitely.

2022-05-21 11:45:13 +0000 UTCI don’t know guys…this Sasha/Naomi thing reeks of a work to me after tonight. Maybe it’s a way to start a new storyline that blurs lines with reality and shine some light on the women’s tag division. Sasha and Naomi get “suspended indefinitely”, they start a tag title tournament and build that division , Sasha and Naomi return after their suspension to take those belts back and maybe start a feud with Sonya Deville who somehow manages to get back into an authority role (due to Max Dew Prix’s involvement now). This leads to Roman getting into Jimmy Uso’s ear about how Naomi been treated. He does so because he wants ALL THE BELTS in the Bloodline, that would include the women’s titles too then. Sasha is unsure at first, then buys in. Imagine Roman and Sasha in a stable together. $$$. Sorry for the long rant, I smoked a joint after watching SD and my fantasy booker mind went wild. Man I really hope Alex sees this before the show 😂
