Fightful had heard rumblings that Stephanie had been less involved in WWE of late. Those that we spoke to around the situation quickly shut down any potential rumors that she was pushed out of the position.
"As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family," said Stephanie.
One rep that we contacted said that Stephanie remains a part of the WWE family. We'll work to add more information as we learn it.

Agreed. For all anyone has to say about her as a character being portrayed on TV, and comments she may have made, or mistakes made, at the end of the day, she is still a human with a young family. And as you absolutely correctly said, a husband who went through a very serious health scare. More power to her for being in a position to step away for how ever long she feels she needs to.

We only get one chance to make this right; and a lot of wrestlers/entertainers have a shorter amount of time to do it in. Hope she is able to enjoy putting her family first.
