GCW and IWTV reach lawsuit settlement.
Added 2022-04-20 17:38:34 +0000 UTCFightful has been informed that the GCW-IWTV lawsuit has ended.
According to GCW, there's a settlement in place that will not pay IWTV anything, and GCW will get ownership of all of their footage. IWTV had previously contested that they owned the footage that appeared on their streaming service, and had claimed in excess of $500,000 in damages.
We're told as a part of the settlement, Game Changer Wrestling will provide IWTV 8 shows over the next year. However, there are no royalties associated with the events, which previously there were as a part of the agreement between the two sides.
IWTV filed the lawsuit last June, alleging that GCW committed a breach of contract regarding PPV, claiming they had exclusive rights to hold GCW PPVs. GCW ran shows on an alternate platform, which prompted the lawsuit.
GCW had filmed to dismiss the lawsuit in August. We've reached out to IWTV for comment.

gcw only runs PPV shows though. so would they be giving away what is usually on fite for free basically to subscribers of IWTV or would they put on 8 random shows?
