Backstage notes from AEW Battle of the Belts 2: Creative, Injuries, more
Added 2022-04-17 01:00:00 +0000 UTCFightful Select has learned some notes from Battle of the Belts.
- We're told Jonathan Gresham had to be checked out for a concussion following his match with Dalton Castle. He wasn't immediately cleared and we haven't heard of his status. We're told it happened on the gutwrench sequence early in the match.
- We have not been told if Dalton Castle has signed with the company as of yet.
- In the short-term, we're told Satnam Singh is to continue appearing on AEW programming, and those we spoke with had optimism he'd improve for his role.
- Thunder Rosa vs. Nyla Rose wasn't planned to be a long-term feud based on what we'd heard. We haven't been told the opponent for Rosa for Double or Nothing, but were told that as of last week, Nyla wasn't the plan.
- Ethan Page was legit busted open at the show and required six stitches to close up the wound.

Hasn't WWE gone on record that they're more focused on signing younger talent to mold them into their brand of bland?

2022-04-17 15:48:15 +0000 UTCI was saying that if they don’t sign him, he should 500% go to NXT/WWE. They’d love him there, IK he’s a lil old but they’d love his character work

2022-04-17 03:14:24 +0000 UTCI was surprised to see Ethan cut open, and I hope Jonathan's okay. As for Dalton, you look at that swagger he brought on the way to the ring and TRY to tell me he shouldn't be signed by AEW.
