Cody Rhodes producing documentary
Added 2022-03-25 22:44:46 +0000 UTCCody Rhodes is facing a .....career crossroads, and is adding to his plate with a new documentary.
Last week, Teil Rhodes posted that her father, Dusty, would be beaming with pride if he saw what was next. Fightful Select can confirm that was actually in reference to an upcoming documentary about "The American Dream," produced by Cody, aimed at focusing on the legacy of Dusty.
We don't have a release date as of yet or other names involved, but an official announcement is expected within the next few weeks. We'll work to gain more information on the project.

I think WWE did in the past shut down some acting projects for CM Punk and a few others--I wanna say Paul Wight only found out about some offers after he left WWE--people asked about him to WWE and they said no for him. Sasha Banks only found out about Mandolorian because she literally got a DM on Instagram directly from the director Jon Farveau. I sincerely hope Cody got every non-standard concession in his WWE contract--no cut (doubtful), able to do some of his own stuff, maybe keep doing the go big show, etc.
