Mod: No Occult CAS Background Effects
Added 2019-07-09 12:59:01 +0000 UTC So something that’s been bothering me for ages is the fact first vampires, and now mermaids had that background effect in CAS when you switched to their occult modes, which meant that you couldn’t take nice clean screenshot of them, right? As someone who plays in CAS a lot and can’t be bothered to pose sims in game this was so bothersome. So I finally got fed up with it the other day and took matters into my own hands; I made a mod that removes that dark smudgy cloud and the light-shifting-through-water effect from vamps and merpeeps. That’s it.
- You’ll need either either The Vampires or Island living GP as these mods won’t be any used to you if you don’t have them, lol
- Works with custom backgrounds as you can see from my example images
- I left the effects that show up when you switch between the modes (aka, bats flying around or water splashing) in tact as they don’t bother me and I won’t be taking screenshots in that split second that it takes them to switch over heh.
- 3 versions: 1 for Vampires, 1 for Mermaids, or 1 for both if you have both packs! ***Only install one!***

oOOOOHKAY thank you!! I thought it also included the animations. i'd literally sell you my arm if you were to look into it/consider it bc that would be a frickin Gamechanger. I play on a macbook and boy howdy do the backgrounds and animations lag it out a bit lol

I otherwise definitely would add it in! 😁 Also the occasional animations they do aren't included int his mod, which is just a cosmetic one to remove the background effects, but I could probably look into editing those too!
