Interesting MSG Note
Added 2022-03-05 19:23:37 +0000 UTCWWE's MSG show is tonight and there's an interesting note regarding it.
We're told that the show is being "closely guarded," and what's happening is being left way more private than most shows, even for television. One source told us that the internal rundowns are nowhere near as widely available as most other events.
We haven't heard thus far if anything major is planned for the show, but Brock Lesnar is scheduled to defend the WWE Title.
Update: We're told that a lot of cameras are backstage for the show. Lesnar's opponent is listed internally as "TBD." We are told that Kevin Owens was rumored as an opponent at one time, but many names are being tossed around. Owens was brought in without being listed on the card and wad filming content, which is why people backstage suspected him. Originally Brock Lesnar was listed as before the intermission at one point. We're told that has changed as well.
Regardless of if the situation ends up a big deal or not, we're told that it was strangely secretive, with talent even contacting us to speculate what might happen. There have been a lot of mixed messages and even a couple of changes to the planned card.
Throughout the evening there were lineup changes, personnel changes, and adjustments to matches.

I know it was accurate because I saw the run sheet and talked to ten people. How many people did you talk to, Tyler?

2022-03-08 02:46:00 +0000 UTCHow do you know it was accurate? Were you backstage?
2022-03-06 20:40:53 +0000 UTCBut the source was accurate. WWE was secretive, as reported. Just because the "secret" was stupid and lame and WWE sucks doesn't mean the source was wrong.

2022-03-06 20:38:01 +0000 UTCI don't disagree with you. SRS got information, and reported. It wasn't an attack on SRS. My whole initial point is it might be time to evaluate that specific source. Theres at least a chance they were misleading SRS to get hype information out there.
2022-03-06 18:23:13 +0000 UTCRespectfully, the ineptitude of WWE is not a reflection on SRS or his sources. Your comments projected on SRS the lackluster results of WWE’s actions. Dude was still accurately doing his job.

2022-03-06 18:02:19 +0000 UTCIm not insinuating WWE wasn't fostering buzz, thats absolutely what they were doing. I am wondering what was the secrecy about? I get holding information from fans to let the mind wonder, which creates excitement, buzz, etc. But the original post that was put out there, was that even wrestlers (or entertainers, this is WWE after all), were being withheld the information. Thats where I question what was the secrecy, and then who ever gave the scoop to SRS. I cannot fathom a situation where backstage had no idea it was going to be Austin Theory. Why wouldn't they? Who cares from a backstage perspective?
2022-03-06 17:28:43 +0000 UTCI’m pretty confused at what you’re complaining about here. “How do any of us know they were secretive” I mean I wasn’t there but it seemed the people at the show didn’t know who the opponent was so there’s that. If you’re pissy the surprise was Austin Theory then I doubt you’re in the minority. Insinuating that WWE wasn’t fostering a secretive buzz seems inherently false.

2022-03-06 17:24:28 +0000 UTCWhat were they "secretive" about? Austin Theory? Also how do any of us know they were secretive. Feels like there was a work for this just to get some hype.
2022-03-06 15:48:19 +0000 UTCAh yeah? Why's that? We posted what happened. They were secretive. So yes, the sources were good on this one

2022-03-06 15:38:15 +0000 UTCWell this scoop wasnt the best source, might want to note that for the next time SRS.
2022-03-06 15:30:25 +0000 UTCIt's fascinating to see how much buzz WWE generates by being "secretive". They knew exactly what they were doing and despite it being a non-televised house show they managed to secure some sizeable attention on the eve of an AEW PPV.
