DDP tells us he's had his last match

Fightful spoke to DDP, who told us he's likely had his last match.

He reiterated to us that he has a goal to throw a Diamond Cutter at 70 years old, but thinks he's done wrestling after his 2020 match. He pitched the match to Cody Rhodes when he found out that AEW was going to be on TNT, and realized he could wrestle across six decades. Cody also pitched the dive to the outside for DDP. He noted that while he still can and will do Diamond Cutters, his shoulder is feeling it for a while. DDP has done stem cells three different times and stays in shape, and credits hyperbaric chambers as a reason he's able to stay in such great shape.

Prior to 2020, DDP's last matches were in the 2015 Royal Rumble and 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and his last before that was 2011, with his last singles match on record being 2006. Since leaving TNA Wrestling in May of 2005, DDP has had less than ten wrestling matches.

As we wrapped up our interview, DDP said he believes Bryan Danielson is the best wrestler in the world, and says he loves the playful jokes that he, Adam Page and Ethan Page are related.
