Sean Waltman interview notes: GCW, Return, WWF, WCW, More

Fightful spoke to Sean Waltman about his return to the ring, and he said that he's primarily planning to work tag team matches, but will see how things go. Speaking of, he's going to see how he feels after Friday's GCW Welcome to Heartbreak. He says he'll do it as long as he feels good and wants to put on special matches. He's particularly happy about making his comeback against Matt Cardona in GCW, and says he didn't want to end his career on the kinds of matches he had.

We spoke to him about some old school stuff, and he told us he actually signed with WWF about six weeks before his 1998 return. He said that both his WWF and WCW deals were negotiated by his agents and he didn't have conversations personally.

I asked him about some memorably matches and moments of his career. The legendary Action Zone tag match with Razor Ramon against Shawn Michaels and Diesel was a special one, and Waltman says a big part of that was Scott Hall taking all the heat instead of him. Regarding the famous bump Chris Hamrick took, Waltman said he just kind of laughed about it, and said as long as he was sure it was safe, he was okay with it.
