Gabriel Kidd Notes: Calls Out Top Talent, More details
Added 2022-02-14 22:00:43 +0000 UTCFightful spoke with New Japan Pro Wrestling star Gabriel Kidd, who just made a trip back over to the UK. He made some news last week by calling out Daniel Garcia, and didn't exactly stop there. He called out both FTR and "Switchblade" Jay White during our interview as well.
Kidd noted that he took some time off last year to work on his mental health, and was happy that his first match in the states was against Jonathan Gresham. He wanted to compete with people in the United States with a good profile that he knew would highlight himself as well. Eddie Kingston and Christopher Daniels were also among them, and he mentioned working with Fred Rosser as helping him along. His match with Eddie Kingston getting rave reviews helped his confidence on a new continent immensely.
We spoke to him about teaming with Okada, Tanahashi and others in Japan, and he was very confident in saying he knew even then that he belonged in the ring with them and was on their level.

I don't doubt he's a fantastic talent, but man that whole beef with Garcia over sitting that he, Fredericks, and Jonah got up to this weekend just looked petty and insecure. Not a compelling work, unfortunately.
