Fightful spoke to AJ Styles for a new interview and solicited some questions from Karl Anderson for the talk. AJ Styles shockingly (not really) said he did not watch TalkNShopAMania and the Boneryard match, and that his comedy does not always match up with theirs.

Styles confirmed a story that Dixie Carter once brought him into Nashville to see her personal hair stylist in the early TNA days, which is fantastic. He said that Vince McMahon wasn't sold on him the first time he saw him in the ring, because he thinks Vince believed he had plenty of people that could do that. However, once Styles tapped in to the "pit bull" that Vince wanted, he was sold. Styles says that he and Vince McMahon are actually very similar in how they deal with issues.

In regards to TNA Wrestling claiming they were close to a deal in late 2015, he'd almost completely forgotten about it, but said he did have talks about joining the company. Once he saw Shinsuke Nakamura was preparing to leave, he got the ball rolling on other options. After meeting with Triple H, he was sure he wanted to go to WWE.

We spoke with Styles about his career, and he said he's very satisfied with how his career has went and if something unforeseen happens and he has to retire, he's happy with what he's done.

As far as WWE 2K22, Styles says his participation is pretty much getting scanned, and that's it.
