More on Alexa Bliss: Segments, Royal Rumble, Plans

Bliss has appeared in numerous therapy segments in which look to "cure" her from her persona over the past year-plus. Fightful has learned there were nine of these segments filmed and produced, two of which have aired on WWE programming already. We haven't been told if all of the segments will air, or if they'll double up on them in order to progress the story, as they seemed to this past week. However, this was a long-term plan for Alexa Bliss as of the time that those were filmed, and she wasn't factored in to the Royal Rumble creative.
Alexa Bliss had been out of action since late September, last taking on Charlotte Flair at Extreme Rules.

I know a lot of people shitted on Playground Alexa but at least it was different, and obviously extremely marketable/well received. She’s amazing at being The Goddess but the thing is The Goddess is really just her own spin on a character we’ve seen and already have. The cocky bitchy heel. It’s Heel Trish, it’s Britt Baker, it’s Carmella, it’s Zelina, it’s The Boss etc … obviously each have their own spin on it and it works for them all but Playground was unique
