WWE Hall of Famer slated to be in St. Louis for Royal Rumble weekend
Added 2022-01-27 20:35:16 +0000 UTCThe Olympic Hero is headed to St. Louis.
Fightful confirmed with WWE sources that former WWE Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is set to be in St. Louis, the site of the WWE Royal Rumble. We've not heard any additional details regarding what the plan is for Angle. In addition to the Royal Rumble, WWE has community events, press events, and content set to film in St. Louis, which we've been told to expect him to be a part of as well. It's worth noting that he's a part of Conrad Thompson's podcast network, which is running live shows as well. However, we're told that Angle's planned presence for St. Louis isn't related to Conrad's shows, and instead, there have been discussions about him returning as an on-screen presence in WWE.
Thus far, the only confirmation we've gained with WWE sources is that as of this past weekend, they had planned on having Angle in St. Louis. Angle hasn't wrestled since his retirement match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, and claims to have passed on a short-term WWE deal because his body couldn't keep up. He's made a handful of WWE appearances since then, including after his WWE release in 2020.

So many interesting names have been linked to this year's Rumble. I can only assume 1) The reality is going to be disappointing, 2) People cannot keep a secret anymore.
