GCW backstage notes (updated)

Fightful Select has learned the following in regards to GCW

- There are several people who aren't currently booked for the show set to be there tonight at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

- AEW's Marko Stunt and ROH's Amy Rose were both seen around this afternoon.

- There was talk of at least one match being changed on the show due to a replacement. We've reached out to GCW's Brett Lauderdale and haven't heard back.

- Most of the roster we've spoken to have said that they expect GCW will return to Hammerstein down the road, but the company or reps haven't confirmed that as of yet.

UPDATES:

- Jonathan Gresham is not at tonight's show. We're told that Lio Rush was expected to replace him as of this weekend, which is why G-Raver took Lio's spot in the ladder match. Jordynne Grace let us know she contracted COVID and Gresham wanted to be safe.

- AJ Gray was said to have been planned for the ladder match as of last week. We are told by those backstage that he was fine after the show.

- Sean Waltman, the SAT, 911, Ian Riccaboni and others are at the show. All but SAT and Julius Smokes would appear on the show.

- Nick Wayne's match was pulled, and Joey Janela offered a make good at Spring Break. Will Ospreay tentatively committed to facing him on Twitter.

- We've not heard of any significant injuries emerging from the evening's show.

- A lot of the surprises were finalized well over a week before the event, we're told.

- The show broke the record for Hammerstein Ballroom attendance.

- If there was any doubt, there was a hard out of 11 PM EST for the traditional PPV, which is why the main event ended abruptly. The celebration continued long after the show.
