WWE informs talent that COVID testing is no longer required
Added 2021-12-27 20:20:16 +0000 UTCCOVID cases have reached their height since January in the United States, and have hit WWE hard.
Several top WWE stars are sidelined from this week's shows with COVID infections, but WWE is taking measures the opposite way within NXT. Performance Center talent was informed this past weekend that they're no longer requiring the twice-weekly COVID testing that had previously been mandatory around television tapings. We've also learned that WWE main roster also got a message being informed that weekly testing isn't required. We were not told if there was a vaccination qualifier added to that ruling.
This ruling didn't sit well with several within the company that Fightful heard from on Monday, considering how short-handed the company is with COVID infections as is.

I’ve mixed emotions on the COVID handling as a whole TBF but I’ve had to queue for 30mins in NYC today to get into a Lego store that was practically empty inside. Vince is being seen to do all the wrong stuff and doubling down.

2021-12-27 21:12:50 +0000 UTCThis is also from a company that dragged its feet on testing talent and staff for covid, only screening for symptoms and temperature---but would IGNORE positive screens for certain wrestlers (I believe the Miz was sick with cold symptoms and still got past the screening and sent home)--then Kevin Owens had a moment and Roman went home. I can't think Roman or Kevin are thrilled about this recent change.

Considering pro wrestling is an activity where copious amount of sweat and saliva are spread, not doing costant testing is probably a bad idea. Other sports do costant testing, WWE should not be an exception imho.
