Original WWE egg plans got nixed
Added 2021-11-29 22:12:37 +0000 UTCWWE's egg storyline resulted in a title match for Austin Theory, but Fightful was told that wasn't the original plan.
According to WWE sources, the original idea was "much worse with the stakes much lower," with one of the pitches including some sort of integration with the WWE 24/7 Title. We've heard specifically that teams associated with The Rock and/or Red Notice said that wouldn't suffice. Vince McMahon's involvement with the story was a bit of a make good to add more importance to the angle, which those inside the company told Fightful was a seven-figure deal.
WWE has done similar deals with Nestle PureLife and Netflix in the past.

I don't want to say people should get fired but if you suck you suck. The person that pitched that idea has to go
