Mustafa Ali, Kofi Kingston have been on paternity leave

A couple of WWE Superstars were granted time off due to paternity leave.

For those asking about Mustafa Ali's absence from TV the last couple of episodes, we're told this was planned, and this week he announced the birth of his child. Fightful learned that Mustafa Ali had asked for a couple of weeks off long ago for paternity leave, and had it approved by WWE. There were those asking if the absence was tied to the vignette he posted several weeks ago that didn't end up happening, it doesn't appear that has anything to do with it, as WWE sources indicated he'd asked for time off ahead of this. We are told that originally Ali was slated to be at Survivor Series internally, but the company had enough names for the battle royal and extended his leave accordingly.

Fightful has received several inquiries in regards to Kofi Kingston's absence of late from WWE programming as well. Kingston is currently on also paternity leave as approved by WWE. Xavier Woods and Big E have both been involved in a feud with Roman Reigns of late.
