Tons of MLW news: Faction shelved, 2022 plans, big push
Added 2021-11-26 23:56:24 +0000 UTC- The most recent episode was designed to give Alex Kane and Calvin Tankman a strong focus for their feud. It will be a big part of the first part of MLW's 2022.
- When Kane and Mr. Thomas ran in on the finish of the TJP/Tankman match, Tankman accidentally found himself way too close to the referee. Everyone was stuck in an awkward spot and tried to make the best of being close to the ref. They were supposed to be all on the other side of the ring. There doesn't seem to be any issue or heat from the spot.
-ACH will be a regular moving forward, as we reported last week. He will be at MLW's Dallas card in January
-The plan for Alex Kane to win National Openweight championship was set in September. He was said to have impressed at MLW's Court Bauer at Battle Riot and they're high on him
-Don't expect to see CONTRA as a group on TV any time soon. The faction has been shelved for the time being.

I don't disagree that CONTRA was over-utilized....at all. I just didn't get the sense that they were done after War Chamber. I don't mind them being out of the storylines, but it seemed to go out with a fizzle. Maybe I missed it, but was there an explanation why Josef Samael and Simon Gotch weren't there? And to be clear, I really enjoy MLW. It's the only wrestling show I watch regularly.

2021-11-27 12:14:29 +0000 UTCBecause that faction has been a focal point of MLW since Fatu won the title, and MLW kinda overdid and over-utilized CONTRA to the point that they need to let it cool off a little bit. There such a thing as too much ice cream, and CONTRA is the ice cream in this situation. A lot of MLW fans, myself included, need a break from the group.
