WWE Talent Happy With PPV Schedule Announcement
Added 2021-10-25 17:29:25 +0000 UTCWWE announced their tentative 2022 PPV schedule, and they have made plenty of their roster happy as a result.
Fightful reached out to over a dozen wrestlers within the company, all of which we've heard back from spoke favorably of the moves. The two night WrestleMania has been a particularly popular move based on those that we heard from, as it eases the schedule for media and the weekend itself. The move to doing more Saturday PPV shows during football season also was seen as a positive one from everyone we spoke to, with numerous Smackdown talent particularly being happy about it.
We're told the September show is slated to be the UK PPV, and February and October are planned for Saudi Arabia shows as of now. WWE has put an increased focus on Stadium shows and becoming a destination.
The full schedule is below:
- Saturday, Jan. 1 – Day 1 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta
- Saturday, Jan. 29 – Royal Rumble at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis
- Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 – WrestleMania at AT&T Stadium in Dallas
- Sunday, May 8 – Pay-per-view at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I.
- Sunday, June 5 – Pay-Per-View at Allstate Arena in Chicago
- Saturday, July 2 – Money In The Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas
- Saturday, July 30 – SummerSlam at Nissan Stadium in Nashville
- Saturday, Sept. 3 or Sunday, Sept. 4 – Pay-Per-View at TBD location
- Saturday, Nov. 26 – Survivor Series at TD Garden in Boston

I think the move to Saturday events is good ,they're not going against the NFL on NBC/Peacock which does have an influence on the move as well . But possibly get an increase in viewership for the events .

Maybe I can finally meet some of the awesome folks at Fightful! Would be cool to meet Alex, but I know there's no way in hell he's coming to Tennessee given our lax stance on covid stuff.
