AEW Announcement Expected "Sooner Than Later"
Added 2021-10-06 21:32:48 +0000 UTCTony Khan has been teasing a huge announcement on tonight's AEW Dynamite. We can't confirm if this is the one, but it is a huge announcement, indeed.
Fightful has confirmed Mat Men Pro Wrestling's Andrew Zarian's report that a second women's championship is being planned for All Elite Wrestling. We haven't confirmed the TBS Title name, though that is how it's being referred to when speaking to people close to the company. Fightful has been told that an announcement would likely be "coming sooner than later," though we also can't confirm specifically when, though it would certainly fit the bill.
Early indications and speculation from those within the company have been that the title would be promoted similarly to the TNT title, which seems par for the course across the board with their championships.

It was cool when they had the nwa womans title being defended on AEW, I kinda missed it, so a secondary title for the ladies is something i'm all for and think will play well, It would be cool if they treat it like the TNT title in terms of doing open challenges and cross promoting with other companies or against free agents.
