Update on Bobby Fish's AEW and MLW status
Added 2021-10-06 16:28:00 +0000 UTCBobby Fish is making his All Elite Wrestling debut tonight in a TNT Championship open challenge match against Sammy Guevara.
An image circulated of Bobby Fish's AEW render wearing an AEW designed shirt, complete with AEW logo, suggesting he was signed. According to several who spoke with him at this past weekend's MLW Fightland tapings, Fish had claimed to them that he'd not signed with All Elite Wrestling as of that point.
Fish has also indicated to people at the tapings that he's also not under MLW contract and is still a free agent.
Fish has been taking independent bookings in the Pennsylvania area of late. He was released by WWE on August 6.

Does AEW let contacted wrestlers work MLW? Lee Moriarty was at last week’s tapings. Just curious if this is the last of Fish in MLW.

2021-10-06 17:21:31 +0000 UTCHe should stay a free lancer. Don’t think he fits in AEW’s singles division. Loved him pre WWE though. He was lost in the shuffle even in TUE

2021-10-06 17:18:34 +0000 UTCI cannot remember the source (very well could have been WOR) but it has been said that it is not a one and done but he isn't necessarily signed either

2021-10-06 17:07:38 +0000 UTCSounds like it was a one night deal, with a bonus merch opportunity. Fish will do well wherever he wrestles. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Cole have a quick backstage segment. AEW is good at acknowledging wrestlers history, without exploiting it.

2021-10-06 17:05:15 +0000 UTCBut Cardona at least had a short-term deal with multiple planned appearances including a PPV match. So you'd have to think this at least implies further Bobby Fish AEW appearances, right?
