Female WWE talent says her contract is up 18 months before previously reported
Added 2021-08-29 00:37:40 +0000 UTCAn interesting bit, as Paige says that her WWE contract is up in June 2022.
On a recent Twitch stream, the former Divas Champion said that her deal was up in less than a year, when asked about how Twitch could be worked into her deal.
"My contract is up in June of next year. Who knows if they would want to give me a new contract? Who's to say they would want to? If they did, I'd love to have Twitch in the contract," she said.
The news is of note, as Paige's multi-year deal was announced on WWE Backstage in 2019. At the time, it was reported that the contract was a four-year agreement that ran through 2023 by PWInsider.

I would guess that's their way of preventing another promotion from having her brand recognition pop up promoting women's wrestling somewhere else. For a very long time, it's felt like people have been "paid to stay home", just to prevent them from popping up somewhere else.

2021-08-29 03:02:21 +0000 UTCI think it really depends on Adam Cole. He’s been very adamant about his twitch not going anywhere so IF he re-signs, he likely negotiated that in to his deal. If he does, that could set a precedent for Paige and others to negotiate it in to their deals as well. Not saying it’ll happen but I’m sure Vince thought about or is thinking about that as he negotiates with Cole, assuming Cole hasn’t already made a decision

2021-08-29 00:46:48 +0000 UTCAmidst all these "budget cut" releases, I'm shocked they held on to her. When is the last time she did anything related to WWE?

2021-08-29 00:41:53 +0000 UTCGonna keep holding out hope she can get back in the ring. Edge and Christian and Ember Moon all show it's possible, at least.
