Tessa Blanchard had recent talks with wrestling company
Added 2021-08-20 20:14:37 +0000 UTCTessa Blanchard became a free agent over 14 months ago, and hasn't appeared for a major promotion since. Her only wrestling match came against Kylie Rae in September 2020, where she dropped the Warrior Wrestling Women's Title. Since then, she's relocated to Texas and is continuing training, but we're told that at least one promotion has been in contact with her.
National Wrestling Alliance reached out to Blanchard this Summer to feel out the possibility of working together, sources both inside and outside the company tell Fightful. We're what the specific pitch was, but we've been told that talks seem to have been tabled for the time being.

This is probably the right move for her. I don’t know the full story on this but it seems she really burnt pretty much every bridge. But she’s also probably the most talented American female wrestler we’ve seen in the generation. She’s got to come back, show genuine humility and face up to her mistakes and show she’s learnt. If she can do that for a period of time, she can be whatever she wants to be. If she can’t, then Vince will sign her.

2021-08-20 22:01:33 +0000 UTCYeah, the unprofessional behavior would be my biggest concern more than any other of the cancel culture stuff around her. If I remember correctly, Impact asked her to at least send them some recorded promos to air on TV if she didn’t feel comfortable coming in during the pandemic, and she wouldn’t even do that. She’s not a team player. Then you add all the other stuff, which is gonna bring your promotion some amount of backlash, and she just isn’t worth it when there is so much fantastic female talent out there these days. A couple years ago she was at the top of the mountain, but I’d argue there are a bunch of women at or near enough her level, with much better reputations, who just don’t have the legacy thing.

2021-08-20 20:21:19 +0000 UTCShe really burned all the bridges, eh? Her talent level should land her in any company she wants... The fact that that's not happening lends creedence to the allegations against her.
2021-08-20 20:18:51 +0000 UTCNever mind the attitude issues. Impact put their title on her and she pulled that bullshit. I wouldn’t touch her.
