Update on the IIconics, interest from multiple companies
Added 2021-08-19 16:35:31 +0000 UTCFightful has learned that the former Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee -- the IIconics, have been active in the free agent market, though we don't know where they'll land. However, we're told that the IIconics had interest from IMPACT Wrestling recently, but for now it doesn't appear that a deal is being made. However, we've heard they have interest from a new wrestling program scheduled for the fall. McKay and Lee will require visas to remain in the United States, which we're told wouldn't have been an issue for either company to procure.

They may not have wanted to come to AEW though. Plus AEW can't just sign everyone who has left/been released by WWE.

2021-08-19 20:54:53 +0000 UTCI’m not an avid viewer of Impact but I’d definitely check out their stuff. It’s nice to see that it feels like the women’s wrestling scene really has some moving parts again for the first time since the MYC era in multiple promotions.
2021-08-19 20:09:38 +0000 UTCJessica McKay is awesome

2021-08-19 19:04:01 +0000 UTCNope. Cassie is married to Shawn Spears, who is Canadian, and Jessica’s husband is Australian, same as her and Cassie.

2021-08-19 18:50:41 +0000 UTCAren't they married to US citizens? I thought they were. I know that's not a slam dunk for citizenship, but one would think it would help with visas or citizenship.

2021-08-19 18:14:46 +0000 UTCWonder if they're referring to NGW, a new women's wrestling promotion that was teased over a week ago

2021-08-19 16:43:50 +0000 UTCNot really. They have a good act but are not good wrestlers, unfortunately for them. Billie Kay in particular is really bad.

2021-08-19 16:41:50 +0000 UTCIt doesn’t make sense that AEW wouldn’t be interested.
