Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a bit about how I made the new video, for those curious about the process.
This one was a mix of 3D and 2D animation. All the characters’ bodies were animated in 3D, and the faces were drawn separately in 2D using Grease Pencil. It let me keep the expressive, hand-drawn look I like, while using 3D to get smoother movement and more control over the camera.
To make it blend better, I also altered the silhouettes and tweaked the rendering to make everything feel more 2D , almost like it was drawn frame by frame, even though it wasn’t.
It was a weird mix of tools, but I think it helped give the animation a unique feel without losing that rough, handmade quality. I’m still refining the workflow, but it’s something I’d love to keep exploring in future projects.
