Fightful was informed that originally Riddle was supposed to retain his WWE United States Championship at the show, but it was adjusted in favor of continuing the feud with Sheamus, tentatively. Sheamus was not on WWE Raw, and Riddle got squashed by Lashley.

Sheamus deserved the win with all the work he's been putting in lately. Good call on this one.

2021-04-14 23:38:53 +0000 UTCI would say that switching the US title was the right call given the work Sheamus has been doing. Although personally I wouldn’t continue the feud and instead have Sheamus feud with Keith Lee or Damien Priest. With Riddle I would say pursue that tag team with RVD. Just have them wrestle once a month together and do nothing but backstage segments.
