New video + I was a guest on a podcast + an update!

Hi Patrons!

I just finished a video about a PS1 game called The Book of Watermarks, a weird Sony PS1 game about Shakespeare.

I found this game super fascinating and I also wanted to test myself a bit with this video. This is both a game in a genre I don't talk about much and a game influenced by Shakespeare who I don't know a ton about - so for me this was an excuse to broaden my horizons. Now I must do something silly to balance it out I reckon, I really need to finish that Hot wheels video!

I was also a guest on a podcast called PocketBuds - you may have heard of Back Pocket by some of the ex-ABC Good Game crew, they do a ton of livestreams, and I was on their spinoff podcast to talk about none other than licensed video games.

I also wanna just close here with a little "where I'm at" update - last time I gave a proper update I spoke a bit about how I wanted to try covering some newer video games and hey, I tried it. I'm really happy with the RoboCop and Avatar videos I put together, and they tested out my writing skills in a new way, but I didn't enjoy the feeling of needing to get the videos out close to their release dates. I want my videos be insightful and entertaining and that constant pressure of "you need to release this ASAP" is a bit antithetical to that. So, reflecting, I'm glad I gave this a crack and I think I'll cover new games when they're really up my alley, but it's not a direction I want to shift towards really.

So what I'm working on at the moment - a Wii game that uses the balance board (keen for more on camera stuff), Tomorrow Never Dies on PS1 (currently trying to get in touch with a dev to chat to about this one, fingers crossed), the ever present Hot Wheels video, and some more experimental may-not-see-the-light-of-day videos. It's a bit of fun innit.
