Thanks! I can safely say that this isn't the best kick I've made by any stretch of the imagination! The kick's position in the mix is deliberate though. I found it to become pretty nagging as soon as I tried to make it more prominent (even when playing around with compression), but that might just be my bias from having listened to the same parts over and over! I'll try to make better kicks in the future at least! :)
