I will still be answering all of the questions that you put into the chat but I am going to try to focus on a specific subject: failure. In an artist's life it is omnipresent in one form or another. So, we have got to make friends with it.
I will also be talking about the launch of the Atelier Tier on Patreon- super excited to share my knowledge and experience in this area with all of my subscribers.

I recently retired after 30+ years in a non art related field. This has given me a chance to concentrate on creating art. I feel very fortunate but at the same time afraid of failing. Your topic helped me to face these fears and not to create a perfect work of art all the time but to just create. I have taken several Atelier classes in the past. I would have liked to have taken more but cost and distance kept me from doing that. I'm very excited about your Atelier Tier.

2021-04-22 16:50:46 +0000 UTCHey Stephen, I'm a few decades your senior and maybe a teen in artist years. Really enjoyed your focused live stream. Some of man's greatest achievements have come from spectacular failures (discovering new worlds, walking on the moon, etc.). I've taken a few classes and remember quite distinctly my first negative feedback in front of the class...felt like a stinging rebuke back then but now I see the instructor was just helping me to improve...significantly. Thank goodness for your big failure and now our access to your Patreon page. Looking forward to many failures in the upcoming Atelier.
