Hi Stephen, am I correct that you are using three pigments for the underpainting in order to also indicate temperature? If so, are you using a cooler temperature for the lights and a warmer one for the dark half tones + darks here?

2021-06-21 14:54:46 +0000 UTCI only wait until it is totally dry. In my case, with these pigments, that will take between 2-3 days.
