Cregger is worth catching up with even if you didn't like Weapons! He was in the sketch group WKYUK who had a pretty big cult following and they're genuinely funny and likable dudes. Weapons was about dealing with the trauma of losing his close friend Trevor. It was also (apparently) about how we're weaponizing children to push agendas that aren't concerned about children at all. From what I can tell though it was mostly about the intense emotions caused by loss/grief and the different ways those emotions boil to the surface, but it's definitely thematically and narratively messy. Really enjoyed watching it but 100% get your critiques about it not being explicit enough, especially without any context about his life and career

Finally got around to catching up on my favorite side cast, and it didn’t disappoint. A few personal, typically long-form thoughts: 1. Tim, your candor here is really refreshing and appreciated. We all contain multitudes and I really relate to the duality of punchy humor and brooding sensitivity. Everyone has these moments, and I’m just thankful that I get to do my brooding out of the public eye. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to be front and center every week with your back to a drop firing squad — even though I LIVE for the drops. We are all experiencing life under layers and layers of trauma every day. The worldly woes continue to pile up. Give yourself a pat on the back that you’re still a thinking, feeling, sentient human, and hopefully all you lads allow one another grace to show some cracks in the armor now and again. 2. On the subject of witches and that boring as hell, creepy old crone trope; we have the Romans to thank for that patriarchal garbage, which was of course then co-opted by the Christians. Turn to Greek mythology for the badass and seductive sorceresses. Homer’s Odyssey really empowers women! Side note: I can’t be the only member of this community that practices the craft, can I…? ::looks around:: Nevermind, forgot where I was. ::proceeds to eat child:: 3. Thanks for answering another one of my kooky questions. Good smell answers! I really feel like you can really get to know the type of person you’re dealing with through their nose, and your answers reaffirm my suspicion that you’re just a down to earth dude, and a bit of a softy. We stan.
