Doug Lab: Side FX Jingle
Added 2024-11-25 14:00:08 +0000 UTCGood Horning! Welcome to the first Doug Lab. On this episode, I will make the Side EffeX jingle from scratch. The idea for this product came from the mouth of Andre Hyland when he had a little get together to watch the Bengals get beat by the Ravens. (It was sooo Raven) Anyway, there were a lot of ads for prescription drugs and Andre said "what if there was a drug that was only side effects?" We all laughed and then I asked "hey, can I use that for a fake ad?" He gave me his blessing, I wrote it down in my iPhone notes and here we are.
For this video, I recorded my screen using OBS, which I'm still getting used to. The audio sounds a bit phased for some reason, sorry about that! I promise to iron out the tech diffs as we move forward. Also, just a note - Doug Lab won't be all tutorials or screen recordings, I plan on exploring the outdoors, events, nature... anything that I might find interesting. Hope that's ok. Please comment with any ideas, questions and criticisms. Thanks to Jack Birch for editing this down for me!

I don't really have a time limit but sometimes it's wednesday night and I want to get some sleep so I'll try to crank one out in a hour. Often when I hurry and make quick decisions, it still turns out pretty good. Jingles compilation in in the works!

Doug, do you give yourself a time limit to work on jingles since they only get 10 sec of airtime or do you work on the jingle until youโre happy with it and say who cares about airtime I had fun with it? And Iโm adding to the chorus of people singing โwe want a playlist of jingles!โ and/or musical pieces that you make album.
